It was beautiful when it first arrived and looks great, but it is not plated and can immediately change color depending on what it comes into contact with. I bought this close to the same time as another ring I own that is sterling silver but plated, and I have worn them both on a daily basis. I am by no means rough with my rings, and I take them off when doing dishes and things of that nature, but it has apparently come into contact with something that has oxidized it within minutes versus an over time process. I had contacted their customer service to see about either a replacement or refund, and they informed me of why this occurred (it not being plated to protect against the process), and offered to have it returned to them to rhodium plate it for me, if I did not want to send it to them to have it done locally, or they would replace it with an entirely new one that is rhodium plated from the start. I have attempted to clean it from the color attached in the picture, but there are still spots that I cannot get off. I will be returning it to them for the rhodium plating and hopefully that will be able to get all of it off. While I am satisfied with their response, I would still like to see a warning or description about the process for those like me who have apparently always had plated silver and never had to deal with this sort of process or it took years for it to happen and not minutes, and how to either prevent or fix it should it happen. It also remains at just four stars as although I love the setting style, it does have sharp points on either side that either catch on things sometimes or poke your fingers constantly. It isn't horrible, but it can be a little irritating until you get used to it.
