Waste elastic isn't comfortable. Cuts into muffin top. Fringe is fun but this isn't for getting wet. Fun bottoms for party. Bought medium. Fit was perfect. I usually wear size 8.I didn't know what to expect but it looked adorable on my daughter and fit true to sizeMy daughter really liked the look of this and already had a black top. It looks so cute on her! The tassels are something different and are longer, but don't look like a skirt. The tassels are sewn on at about hip level and hang from there. I did notice that it looks like they sewed from a long bolt of the tassel stuff and just cut it at the end. So where it met at the seam on the side, the tassels weren't attached to each other like they were around the rest of the circumference. However, since the design has knots, I just tied it there so it looks more finished all around the circle now. My daughter typically wears a 3x in bottoms and this fit her well. Its really nice that this comes in lots of sizes as she sometimes has trouble finding cuter things in her size. I like it so much that I added a pair to my cart for myself!
